Democratic lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives want to increase taxes on the highest- earning American families to help pay for an overhaul of the nation’s health-care system.
Legislation to be unveiled on July 13 would raise $540 billion over the next decade by setting a 1 percent surtax on couples with more than $350,000 in annual income, said Representative Charles Rangel, chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee. Higher rates would take effect for those earning $500,000 and $1 million, Rangel said.
There was a fresh round of talks yesterday as Democratic leaders tried to quell a rebellion over the cost of health-care legislation by dozens of members of their own party.
In a letter to party leaders, 40 members of the Blue Dog Coalition, a group of self-proclaimed fiscally conservative Democrats, raised “strong reservations” about the draft of a bill they said would fail to sufficiently reduce health-care costs and may hurt doctors and hospitals.
The protest forced party leaders to postpone yesterday’s scheduled release of the draft, as well as a House Energy and Commerce Committee debate that was expected to begin July 13. The objections from Blue Dog Democrats prompted the legislation’s authors to revise the measure, said the aide, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The plan the Ways and Means panel agreed on yesterday would require individuals to begin paying the surtax when their income hits $280,000, with higher rates taking effect when those incomes reach $400,000, and again when they hit $800,000.
It would be levied on adjusted gross income, before deductions for items such as mortgage interest and charitable gifts. Regular income taxes are assessed after such write-offs.
While the surtax would go into effect in 2011, Representative Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania said it would increase if projected savings that Democrats expect the legislation to achieve aren’t realized. “We were discussing doing it at a lower rate, then building to a higher rate in later years if we don’t get enough savings,” Schwartz said.
“We need small businesses and entrepreneurs to create new jobs and jumpstart economic growth,” Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona said in a statement. “But they can’t if they are saddled with an onerous surtax on their business income.”
The plan “shows once again that there are some who have no concept of how private industry creates jobs and grows the economy,” Kyl said.
President Barack Obama said yesterday that passing a comprehensive overhaul of the system is his “highest legislative priority” and he expects it will be achieved.
“I’m also looking at the federal budget,” Obama said. The only way to reduce the deficit is to “corral and contain” health costs. Referring to Obama’s push to extend coverage to the estimated 46 million uninsured Americans, the group said: “We cannot ‘add’ new consumers to a broken system.

Read the article below to find out exactly what to look for when choosing a guitar tutoring course and how to avoid the pitfalls most beginners make when selecting which course to go for. Looking for a guitar course to teach you how to play the guitar can be an absolute mine field for the beginner guitar student!
The internet has now become the perfect medium for sourcing all sorts of useful and not so useful information and as such more and more companies and individuals are listing their products. Here lies the problem. How do you choose between the many thousands of courses and guitar lessons that are becoming available to the beginner guitar player. You basically have two choices to make:
An online course or an offline one?
Years ago people only had one option and that was to book a lesson with a guitar tutor and turn up at a predetermined time to have the guitar lessons. Or on the odd occasion the guitar tutor would come to your home. In this day and age its all changed, we have many more options open to us. With more choices comes more chances to make costly mistakes, hence why you should try to get it right first time.
Let me explain in more detail the advantages and disadvantages of both online and offline and to help you make the correct decision when choosing which course to go for. Ill first start with online guitar lessons and courses.
Online Guitar Lessons or Courses
What do we mean exactly by an online guitar course? You have basically two methods of accessing online guitar courses and these are by download or by streaming (accessing the material while it is downloading). The downside of this type of course is that the quality tends not to be as good as hard copy DVD courses. The downloadable courses can take quite a while to download if you do not have a super fast internet connection.
Also it is very hard to build up an archive of material that you can refer back to over and over again. This is an absolute MUST HAVE when learning to play an instrument. Look also for a REAL address at the bottom of the webpage or internet site. DO NOT accept a PO Box as an address. A real address tells you that the company is legitimate and responsible. Also make sure they list a contact telephone number should you have any problems.
Offline Guitar Lessons or Courses
What are offline guitar courses?
Offline lessons or courses are given by a real person who comes to your home to conduct the lesson or in some cases the tutor will come to you. Once you have had your guitar lesson you will pay them a fee for their services. The problem with this is that it can be quite hard to find a good tutor who you gell and get along with and where can you find a tutor in your area who is up to the job?
Another problem with live guitar tutors in my opinion is that most will give you only just enough information to keep you coming back and charge you as much as they can possibly get away with. Not the best scenario.
The Disadvantages of Going for Regular Guitar Lessons.
* The problem with either traveling for a guitar lesson or having a tutor come to your home is you have to have the lesson at a predetermined time. This will probably screw up your day and everything else has to work around it.
* Your tutor may not necessarily be into the type of music you love to play which means that youll not enjoy your lessons as much as you could, which in turn means that your learning will not progress as quickly as it should.
* When learning to play an instrument you will come across something that you are not too sure about and need to ask a question or find the solution. With regular guitar lessons you will need to wait until your next lesson in order to get your questions answered. Ideally you want your answers NOW so you can get on with your progression and move to the next stage
* Most people when sitting in front of a tutor and playing back what theyve learned in the week will feel a little if not quite a bit intimidated or nervous. They will feel under pressure to get it just right in front of their tutor. What happens in most scenarios is the student will make mistakes when at home they have played the piece very well. The best scenario would be to repeat back the lesson in their own home with no pressure in familiar surroundings
So Where Does That Leave YOU?
Do not fear! There is an alternative to both these methods yet encompasses both.
The alternative is to have your lessons sent to you through the post on hard copy DVD. It is ordered over the internet allowing you to shop around WORLDWIDE and is then delivered through conventional post to your door. This method far outweighs the other two as it encompasses both, is of very high quality, you create an instant archive and lessons are given step by step in a chronological order by the same tutor.
So if this is my recommendation, which course do you choose???
Again there are many, many courses out there but which ever course you choose it should meet the following criteria:
* A FAST Structured Progression that is VERY EASY to follow and understand.
* A course of lessons created by someone who has a vast experience in the music industry, is a professional (gets paid for playing the guitar and hasnt got a job on the side), knows what he is doing and is not some wizz kid who has learned the guitar, played for about 3-4 years and trying to cash in and make a fast buck
* A course you can study and take part in, in a nice relaxed environment with no pressure put upon you, helping you to progress at lightning pace because you are in a cool, relaxed frame of mind.
* A course of lessons that you know you CAN afford and you know will be great value for money ensuring youll not get ripped off.
* A Solid, Cast Iron, No Questions Asked, FULL Money Back Guarantee. Just ask your guitar tutor for your money back once he has given you your lesson! Its not repeatable what hell say!!!
* A course of lessons that doesnt beat around the bush and gives you what you are looking for straight out of the tin bringing you on as fast as possible
* Lessons that you can refer back to over and over again that will inspire and motivate you with audio, video, illustrations and downloadable teaching aids.
* All The Fast Track Short Cuts That The Professionals DONT Want You to Know.
If you are in the process of looking for a guitar course or lessons my advice would be to take your time and do your research. There are some very, very good courses out there but be warned there are also some very bad ones. Use this guide to help you to choose a course that you think will best suit your needs.
If there is another piece of advice I can give you it would be this:
Decide on a course of guitar lessons and once you have received the first two or three lessons, make sure you are happy with them then stick with it using the SAME tutor as you will get tuned into the guitar tutors methods of teaching and wont be flipping from one set of lessons to the next, one tutor to the next and getting nowhere.
Well thats about it for this article. I hope you use the information I have listed above wisely. I will be posting some articles in the near future on guitar lessons that take the beginner through to accomplished player in the shortest possible time.

A Company Wellness Program without goals is somewhat akin to taking a family trip without any planning; you wont know where youre going, how to get there, what you want to do once you have arrived, or even whether or not you have arrived! The trip may end up ok, or it may end up disastrously. Yet, with a modest amount of thoughtful planning, you increase your chances for a successful experience. Clear goals are required to plan your wellness program in order to ensure success!
Wellness program goals/objectives are different from one business to another depending on the population, needs, interests and resources. Nonetheless, well thought out objectives based on your companys needs assessment will form the foundation of a efficacious wellness program!
Worksite Health Promotion Program Mission Statement
The first consideration is a mission statement for your Company Wellness Program. The mission statement is the overriding expression of what the Company Wellness Program Committee wants to accomplish by implementing a wellness program. It is important to consider how your Company Wellness Program fits in with the business mission statement, contributes to the overriding mission and supports the business bottom line. This will integrate your efforts throughout the business operations.
Below are some examples of Employee Health Promotion Program mission statements:
At XYZ Company, maintaining an environment that supports employee health and safety is our underlying value. It is the mission of the Workplace Health Promotion Program to assist in starting Workplace Health Promotion Program services that fosters and upholds that value.
It is the mission of the XYZ Company Wellness Program Committee to foster healthier lifestyle choices to lower health risk factors, improve overall wellness, and maintain a productive, active work force.
Workplace Health Promotion Program Goals
The goals/objectives further define your mission and are based on your needs assessment. Depending on the needs assessment, upper management expectations and employee interests, examples of goals/objectives can include:
The goal(s) of XYZ Worksite Health Promotion Program in year XXXX is to: (one or more of the following examples)
#149 Reduce absenteeism by one day per employee
#149 Decrease musculoskeletal injuries by ten%
#149 Lower unnecessary emergency room visits
#149 Decrease or contain health care expenditures
#149 Improve dietary habits of employees
#149 Lower health risk factors
Corporate Health Promotion Program Objectives
Specific Workplace Wellness Program objectives help meet your long-term goals and objectives. Both short term and long term objectives should be developed as the stepping stones to accomplish the goals and objectives. In addition to objectives for the expected colleague outcomes, process objectives should also be developed for the program process itself. By way of example, process objectives may include the number of staff members you want to participate in the programs, the number of sessions on a topic will be provided, the type of wellness sessions that will be implemented, etc.
Objectives must be easily measurable within a set time frame. Try using the SMART formula to set up both your long and short-term goals/objectives:
#149 Specific (one behavior or outcome)
#149 Measurable (one result that can be observed or evaluated),
#149 Attainable (but also challenging),
#149 Realistic (do you have the resources to achieve?), and
#149 Time specific (within 3 months - up to 5 years)
This is the who, what, when, where, why, and by how much method. For example, the mission for a weight loss program that has an overriding goal of improving healthy eating and promoting a healthy weight is that:
Members (who) will lose an average of .5 - 1 lbs per week (specific what that is measurable) at the end of the 12 week lunchtime program (time specific what, when and where) for a minimum of 6 lbs weight loss per participant (attainable and realistic).
Or:
Members (who) will attend 11 of the 12 sessions (specific what that is measurable) and name at least one healthier eating change at the end of the program (specific what, when, where)
An example of an objective for coaching staff members with elevated cholesterol might be:
To cut the total cholesterol (specific what) of high risk employees with cholesterol over 240 mg/dl (specific who) to 200 mg/dl (measurable how much) through one-on-one counseling sessions offered at the workplace (where) by X date (ex, after 6 months) (attainable, realistic time specific when) to cut the risk factor for heart disease (why).
And one last example of a process mission for a tobacco cessation program with an overall intention to support participants in committing to quit for life:
By the end of the 4-week smoking cessation program, ten% of the participants will have quit smoking. Each colleague will be contacted at 3 months, 6 months and 12 months from the programs end to determine quit status (process objective) and ten% of those who quit will still be smoke-free after one year.
You have now completed Steps 1 through 4, including adopting your Employee Wellness Program Committee. It is now time to plan your wellness activities.

Kamagra Oral Jelly (Generic Viagra)
Expiry date: March 2011
Some patients struggle to swallow medicine in tablet form. A new popular form of Kamagra is now available in Oral Jelly sachets. The jelly comes in 7 flavours. Users simply squeeze the sachet onto a spoon to take orally. Lower side effects are often reported and many users claim the treatment starts to work quicker than conventional tablet form although this is circumstantial. It is more expensive than the cost of tablets but this reflects supplier costs and increased weight in postage.
Users already taking or planning to take Nitrate based medications must not use this product. (See our list below or consult your doctor if you are unsure about medicine you are already taking).
We always aim to deliver the exact flavours that you require, on occasion we may exhaust our stock of a particular flavour, if this happens then we will substitute your request to mixed flavours. Please note that all Kamagra Oral Jelly contain 100mg Sildenafil Citrate and work in exactly the same way - regardless of the chosen flavour.

Like numerous other people, I was present at the UK launch of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans at the Methodist Central Hall, London. These are my personal reflections. First, what was bad about the day? For a start, there was far too much packed into the programme. I lost count of the number of contributors and contributions, but it must have run into dozens. Inevitably, therefore, the programme slipped behind time, and I must confess to leaving halfway through the concluding communion service. But by this stage it was 5.50pm and I had an evening meeting at 8.30. By the look of it, a considerable number of people had made the same decision, and Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali was left facing a rather emptier auditorium than had been the case first thing in the morning.
Undoubtedly the biggest problem, however, was the domination of the Conservative Evangelical culture over the others FCA is intended to include, in particular the Anglo-Catholics. Most of the presentations (including my own on video) were from this wing, as were most of the platform speakers, and this despite substantial Anglo-Catholic involvement in the events organization and presence on the day.
Indeed, one could go further and say it was the Conservative sub-culture which was on display. The one truly working class voice from this group stood out like a sore thumb in the videoed interviews. The rest were nice, middle-class, and a hundred percent white.
The other big problem was the lack of time to mix and mingle. During the very brief breaks (made even more brief by attempts to catch up on the timing), I saw many faces of people I would have liked to greet and talk with, but it simply wasnt possible. I also felt very sorry for those who had set up stalls which people did not have enough time to visit.
Above all, this meant there wasnt the opportunity to reflect on what was happening. Instead, there was a whirlwind of input covering everything from the situation in North America, via the problems for Christians in the Sudan to the inter-denominational Passion for Life mission next year.
So what was good about it? At one level, I am tempted to say, All of the above. There was much about the presentations that was thought provoking and excellent. There was just far too much of it for one day. The attendance should also have come as an encouragement (and indeed a relief) to the organizers. Also, despite my criticisms, there was a genuine attempt at a breadth of churchmanship. And (despite both the expectations of some and the reporting of others) this was not or at least not just an exercise in knocking the Church of England.
Of course, quotable quotes were offered from the platform, on which the ladies and gentlemen of the press have duly seized. In each case, however, these were personal views. There is no line, as yet. But at the same time, there were disturbing accounts of interference, opposition and manipulation from Anglican officialdom of the kind with which, sadly, most of us are familiar. If peace is to break out within the denomination, it will involve honesty on both sides about past and present wrongs which have created what Richard Coekin called churches on the edge congregations which have arisen within Anglicanism, whose members would happily be Church of England, but which have been marginalised by officialdom.
One of the real problems in the Church of England at the moment is the difference in perception between those who say there is nothing essentially wrong and those who feel we are in deep crisis, between those who feel the institution is basically getting it right and those who feel the institution is in its own Babylonian Captivity. It is, by definition, impossible for these two sides to agree, but it is surely not too much to ask that they each recognize the existence of the others point of view.
The big question after the event, however, is where we go from here.
First, it seems to me we must acknowledge that the situation in England is entirely different from that prevailing in North America, and somewhat different from that in the rest of the United Kingdom. To begin with, England is the home of Anglicanism. But more importantly, things are done differently here than elsewhere, both for better and for worse. In particular, the Book of Common Prayer and the Thirty-nine Articles, which, thanks to the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration are central to the FCA , are legally binding on our branch of Anglicanism in a way that (as I understand it) they are not elsewhere. This gives the whole institution an a resistance to movement which does not exist elsewhere and which protects it from the worst excesses of ecclesiastical mavericks.
The Church of England is thus unlikely to slide into the theological off with the fairies land that seems to afflict sections of TEC. Our inner tensions are undoubtedly real, but the frustration with the way things are is mutual to both Traditionalists and Revisionists.
One might be tempted to think that this is a good thing and likely to remain so. This, I believe, is the attitude of many who trust the institution and enjoy the status quo. However, we face problems which are not faced in North America (or at least, not in the USA) and which will, I believe, force the issues for us, whatever part of the Church we belong to. These are: the cultural acceptance of homosexuality, a totalitarian and coercive understanding of government, and the growth of Islam.
Let us take these in reverse order. The future of Islam in the UK is, I believe, likely to be parallel to that of Judaism in the Roman Empire. Then, the Romans discovered that is was not worth trying to coerce the Jews into behaving like everyone else. So, like any sensible authoritarian government, they passed a law to make it legal for Jews to be different. They made Judaism a religio licita, thus keeping control of the situation whilst avoiding the need for constant conflict. This is clearly what is happening with Islam in Britain.
Why, though, should that be a threat to the Church? The answer is because the Church of England, by comparison, has been a pushover. Instead of resisting cultural trends where they conflicted with its faith, the Church of England has sought ways to conform to them. The character of Anglicanism is legendary. By contrast, Islam, in the face it presents towards the surrounding culture, is firm and unmoveable. Thus the culture will make constant concessions to Muslims, whilst knowing that it can make constant demands of Anglicans.
This is particularly important in the light of my second point, that the prevailing philosophy of government is now, thanks to New Labour, totalitarian and coercive. The view of the governing classes is no longer that they should preserve the privileges and security of the citizenry, but that they may decide to the detail how people should live and legislate to ensure that they do. That they would dearly love to apply this to Muslims is clear from various to the quality of Muslim clergy. That this will fail, however, follows from the nature of Islam. Christians, however, are another matter entirely.
That brings us to my first point, which is the broad acceptance of homosexuality. This would not be such a problem were it not for the fact that the government is determined to legislate that homosexuality should be accepted and, like the playground bully, will zero in on anyone who does not stand up to it. Thus Roman Catholic adoption agencies must be forced (force is the right word) to comply, despite the fact that this is totally unnecessary. And comply they have. Yet could one imagine a Muslim adoption agency doing the same? Perhaps they have, but I am unaware of it, nor do I think it is likely.
The crunch will come in this country, therefore indeed it has already come at the point of social opprobrium and legal penalties on the practical issue of same-sex relationships. It will be as Christians are confronted at this point that the Church, collectively, will have to decide whether to stand up and be counted. Jesus words, I was in prison and you visited me, will be the test of true faithfulness. It is here, also that we face some of the intellectual challenges of which Archbishop Jensen spoke, both with respect to society and to ourselves.
It is over against this situation and these pressures that faithful Anglicans have to decide what they stand for and how they will organize themselves. The question, then, is not how one understands the crisis in the Church but how one sees the Church in relation to the crisis overwhelming our society.
A friend of mine has in his possession a book of the minutes of a local Parish Council (a branch of local government, not to be confused with the Parochial Church Council), kept during the Second World War. What he says is remarkable about them is the sheer energy and attention given to utter trivia, when all the time the great issue was whether German paratroops might be dropping on the village green any day now.
This is somewhat how I think we might imagine the Church of England. There are those who really cannot cope with copes. (Trust me, they are very heavy but they dont turn you into a Catholic.) There are those who believe that society is just waiting to hear about Jesus it isnt, or rather it is, provided you dont mean the man God has appointed to judge the world in righteousness. There are others who believe the collective body doesnt matter, provided their own bit is working (what might be called, in the light of the above, the s Army approach provided we can defend Walmington-on-Sea, thats what matters.)
The trouble is, all of these approaches are understandable and none is adequate. What is really needed is to equip the Church as a Church to address the real problems. We need a Churchill. Sadly, what we have more resembles the 1939 government of France, weak and demoralized in the face of an obvious threat, but simultaneously convinced of their ultimate security.
Will the FCA fill the gap? Frankly, at present, I doubt it. But to complete my analogy, it perhaps represents the current General de Gaulle aware of the problem, yet powerless truly to address it. Still, I would rather go down fighting than be overwhelmed whilst insisting Peace, peace, where there really is no peace.

He is a total nightmare!!! He is jealous of everything. Hes jealous of guy waiters, my chiropractor, our cats, our kids, guys in general, people on T.V.! He always asks accusationally where were you, why didnt you pick up your phone?, and when I tell him the situation, he says yeah right. If I cant get to the phone at home when he calls, its going to be a big fight. He says things like, why are you putting makeup on, for who?-I know its not for me. He has completely sabbatoged our love life with his paranoid thoughts. He has started saying that I compare him to my past boyfriends. I have never spoke of them except when we first started dating!-over 20 years ago!!! That was the only area of our relationship that has ever been perfect! He keeps saying that I said all these things I NEVER said about them! And I think he actually believes his own lies-I am scared I am married to a psycho-path. He says I compare them and the other guys were bigger and I liked it better. I never said or thought this stuff and I used to think he said it just to be rude but now I think he actually believes his own lies. I am really scared and creeped out. He even mumbles things so the kids will hear-very innapropriate lies about me and sex. The other day I found Extenzies(sp.) in his pocket. I googled it and its like viagra but claims you will get a bigger . I have never been not satisfied with how he is-I dont get it.
This is too long to put all the details but I am miserable, I cant leave because I never got my college degree and am financially dependent on him. (BIG MISTAKE!) My kids hate their dad and he is killing the last good thing in our marriage. I am 100 % faithful, never cheated, I do everything for this man and he treats me and our kids like crap. He is verbally and emotionally abusive, argumentative, aggressive, has temper tantrums almost everyday, has destroyed things in our house ( holes in walls-broken doors(from him slamming them), broken furniture from him kicking it. etc.
He is loved by business and friends-he knows how to put on the charm and saves his verbal abuse for home in private.
I dont know if hes crazy or what. : (
He gets in a fight EVERY night, goes and slams our bedroom door, doesnt want to make up and them turns it on me saying I never wnat to have sex! I have told him and I am willing to do it even if were in a fight! I am naturally peaceful, faithful, and hate conflict. I hate my life with him.
Background: I was EXTEMELY shy and had sever e low self- esteem when we met. I thought he was perfect and charming-my night and shining armor. He was in control in EVERYTHING. He controls money and I could keep going on but it will take too much time. Help.
Edit: Too late, Ive been married to this nightmare for 18 years!
No drugs or drinking. Purely verbal/emotional abuse and terrible anger outbursts from him. Got married after dating him 2 and 1/2 years. Married at 22. Yes, there were signs like he would make me cry and didnt feel bad about it. Then escalated into what are you going to do so I have hardened myself to never crying just so he doesnt get satisfaction. Sad -I know.
Thanks everyone. I just made this account today so it wont let me give thumbs up. Sorry.
Ive researched some things and he seems mostly like borderline personality disorder and . This is really scary.
*A very innocent thing happened a few months ago. We were about to have fun and when I came to him wasnt yet. And I joked that it was tiny. Bad decision. It took a minute and it was normal, but he keeps calling himself and his thing tiny now. He wont stop. I was just used to seeing it , I didnt mean anything by it. I am totally fine with his thing-I dont even think about size and that stuff. I even tried to explain that I didnt mean anything and tried to be scientific- well, if its not erect it is soft and small He wont listen. Uggg
He has been into porn ever since we dated. I caught him then and in our marriage (internet) he still denies it.

While it is important to eat as many healthy and balanced foods as possible every day, it is equally important to not harm overall health by consuming foods that actually damage the body. The toxins released from highly processed refined sugars can have negative effects on overall health wiping out the benefits of other, more healthful selections.
Nutrients in foods are highly synergistic interactive complexes. For example, a vitamin is an extremely complex organic substance needed in small amounts yet essential for life and metabolic processes (growth, maintenance, repair, energy).
Although often considered a single substance, each vitamin is a group of chemically related compounds. Separating (fractionating) the group of compounds into single, incomplete portions converts it from a physiological, biochemical, active micronutrient into a disabled, debilitated chemical of little or no value to living cells. The synergy is gone.
By making intelligent choices, one can obtain even greater health benefits than he / she had previously thought possible.

But as more and more people are diagnosed with heart diseases, efforts to expose the cholesterol lie have been taken. Dr. Dwight Lundell is one the experts who have looked deeper into the cholesterol lie and he has found a real cure for heart disease.
More than two decades of experience has led Dr. Dwight Lundell to the realization that cholesterol is not the root of heart disease. He has found that lowering your cholesterol levels will not result to lower chances of having heart attacks, heart diseases, or strokes. Through his book, "The Great Cholesterol Lie", he aims to educate people about realistic steps to prevent and cure heart disease, as well as ways to reverse the damage that has been done to the heart without taking statin medications.
The Great Cholesterol Lie reveals the cure to heart disease, may the complication be inherited or acquired. It tells people more about heart disease as something that can be prevented without having to be slaves to harmful medications and risky surgery. It takes the death sentence out of this age old disease.
While most people think that cholesterol poses a lot of risks, it is in fact important to our health. In The Great Cholesterol Lie, Dr. Dwight Lundell explains that cholesterol is vital and not evil. Our body naturally produces cholesterol and when we can supplement our supply of cholesterol through the food we eat. After years of low-fat, low-cholesterol diets, there are still a lot of people suffering from heart diseases. This should not come as a surprise as reducing the amount of fat and cholesterol in the body are not synonymous with reducing the risks of heart diseases.
So what is the real cause of heart disease? Dr. Dwight Lundell's The Great Cholesterol Lie has an answer: inflammation. Dr. Lundell talks more about this fact in his book, as well as information on bypass surgeries, fallacies of low fat diets, the confusion with the different kinds of fats, why there are people who are saved from heart disease, and many other ground-breaking facts.
To learn more about the cholesterol lie, check Dr. Dwight Lundell's findings in the Great Cholesterol Lie. Having the power to fight heart disease will give you better control over your health and your life.

Hey! I am 22 years old and in november of last year I was prescribed levaquin for a UTI that was very mild. I took 2 pills for two days as my doctor instructed me to. The first day was totally fine, but when I took the second pill, that entire day seemed different. I was having heart palpitations that were rather far apart. You know One here and there. Well that night I layed down to go to sleep and began experiencing major panic and more intense heart palpitaions. I do not have a history of either one. In fact I was completely healthy before this antibiotic. I had a panic attack so bad, my face and ears were burning and it felt as though someone were trying to suffocate me with a pillow. I ended up in the ER and all they can tell me was that I was more than likely having an anxiety attack. For days this went on and eventually I began having out of body experiences along with severe depression. I hadnt slept for days and if I tried, I would get this electric shock feeling that woke me up in flight or fight mode as soon as I was drifting off to sleep, so I guess I was never actually asleep. I was so desparate for sleep I ended up being prescribed ambien. It did nothing for me. I also had to be put on Lexapro for depression which I think helped a bit, but when I went in to get it. I was crying and absolutely devistated for no reason. Once again I was desparate. I Knew that day I took that second dose of levaquin that this quinolone was doing this to me. It was the only thing I had been taking. Plus I looked it up online as soon as I felt these noticable feelings. Im almost 8 months in and nearly recovered other than my knees aching and tmj that develpoed from clenching in my sleep. I do have a very important question though. I may be pregnant and want to know if this would harm the baby? I am 99% recovered. I dont have too much pain in my knees and jaw as much, but even if they snapped into pieces I would be happy as long as the mental torture never returns.

In fact, giving birth to a child is the dream of every woman, but there are a number of women who are unable to give birth because of some physical problems like infertility. But now, the scientists of medical science have discovered and formulated a medication, canadian Clomid, which stimulates the release of hormones which are necessary for ovulation to occur.
Clomid in brief
Canadian Clomid, generically known as Clomiphene is available through prescription in 50mg, round. Patients buy Clomid to arouse ovulation when her ovaries can produce a follicle but hormonal stimulation is deficient. In medical terminology, Clomid is chemically a synthetic estrogen with both agonist and antagonist properties. In fix objective tissues, it can block the capability of estrogen to attach with its matching receptor. Its clinical use is to resist the negative feedback of estrogens on the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, which enhances the release of LH and FSH.
Intake guidelines of Clomid
You are advised to buy and use Clomid as per your doctors guidelines. Moreover, when you buy Clomid, you must check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions. However, this medication may be taken with or without food. If you want good results of this medication, then properly timed sexual intercourse is important because ovulation usually occurs 5 to 10 days after a dose of Clomid.
A few facts that should be kept in mind before buying and using Clomid
Using the medication is a matter related to your health, therefore, before buy clomid, you must consult your doctor and discuss about your previous medical history.

Ginkgo biloba includes active ingredients of Ginkgo such as flavone glycosides, bioflavins, sitosterol, lactones and anthocyanin. One of the most important active ingredients, ginkgolide, has been clinically shown to be an effective heart tonic, helping to maintain a healthy regular heart beat. (Koltai M, Tosaki A, Hosford D, Braquet P. Ginkgolide B protects isolated hearts against arrhythmias induced by ischemia but not reperfusion. Eur J Pharmacol 1989;May 19;164(2):293-302). Studies also indicate that Ginkgo biloba can support the healthy viscosity of blood. (Santos RF, Galdurz JC, Barbieri A, Castiglioni ML, Ytaya LY, Bueno OF. Cognitive performance, SPECT, and blood viscosity in elderly non-demented people using Ginkgo biloba Department of Psychobiology, Universidade Federal de So Paulo-Escola Paulista de Medicina, Brazil. PMID: 12905098). Recent studies have demonstrated this herbs ability to support cardiac health. (He M, Zhang XM, Yuan HQ. Clinical study on treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis with ginkgo extract Dongfang Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Beijing. 25(3):222-4. PMID: 15842142) (Schneider B. Ginkgo biloba extract in peripheral arterial diseases. Meta-analysis of controlled clinical studies. Arzneimittelforschung 1992;Apr; 42(4): 428-36.) Further studies have highlighted Ginkgo biloba as a natural antioxidant with regards to cardiac health (Shen J-G, Zhou D-Y. Efficiency of Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb 761) in antioxidant protection against myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury. Biochem Mol Biol Int 1995;35:125-134). (Akiba S, Kawauchi T, Oka T, Hashizume T, Sato T. Inhibitory effect of the leaf extract of ginkgo biloba L. on oxidative stress-induced platelet aggregation. Biochem Mol Biol Int 1998;Dec;46(6):1243-8). Ginkgo biloba has also been studied for its circulatory tonic benefits. (Pittler MH, Ernst E. Ginkgo biloba extract for the treatment of intermittent claudication: a meta-analysis of randomized trials. Am J Med. 2000;108:276281). (Jung F, Mrowietz C, Kiesewetter H, et al. Thanks so much to each of you who are following this conversation. Thank you for all the suggestions and comments, and additional questions. Here are a few thoughts on topics you have raised.
Dear Wendy,
Thanks for your questions about the sexually abused woman and her new baby. It is very common, in fact predictable, that childhood sexual abuse memories and intrusive thoughts will plague people who have not fully released their sexual abuse on the very deepest levels during and after giving birth to new babies. You mentioned that you did three or four sessions with her; however, they did not sound like our typical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy release sessions. She needs to do the deeper age regression work regardless of whether they put her on anti-depressants or not.
While people are in their Internships and PTI groups, I often hear the comment, Oh no, not my sexual abuse again! I am so tired of that. Arent I finished with that issue yet?
Sexual abuse is a very traumatic abuse of the Soul, and must continue to be healed on the deepest of levels. This fear that your client has is a perfect place to start her next session. Have her go to the most recent time she felt the fear that she would hurt or kill her baby. The baby she is afraid will be hurt is a terrified part of herself that she is projecting onto this baby. She needs to get this from her own awareness through the Heart-Centered therapy, so dont tell her but instead allow her to realize it through her work. In the session, when you are healing her inner child after her age regressions, have her connect with her baby (in the form of a second teddy bear), and assure both children that she will keep them safe.
It sounds to me like there is a lot more to this story than sexual abuse; perhaps she was unwanted and there was a contemplated or actual abortion attempt. The womb may have felt toxic or threatening to her. So it is great that you did the womb cleansing and the Ro-han and the discussion about hormones. They are good tools, but they do not get to the source of her terror. Also, group therapy at the hospital will not get her there.
Again, we want to let her own subconscious mind go back to the source of the fear of killing the baby and resolve the conflict. So you need to do the deeper work with her and if there is a PTI group that she could attend, that would be the best! So refrain from focusing on the anti-depressants right now and just encourage her to come weekly to do this work. This baby is an opportunity for her to heal her issues on a very deep level and I hope she will take it. She is lucky she has you and all the great resources you have to offer her.
Let me know what happens.
Dear Dennis,
Thank you so much for joining in the blogosphere with us. I will speak to your first comment about your office space and releasing emotions. I have found it essential that I, as the therapist, feel completely at ease with the clients outward expression of feelings. That includes being emotionally at ease as well as physically. I have worked in spaces where I felt like you did as far as being concerned about disturbing the neighbors, etc. I found myself becoming more and more tense about the work and that actually does inhibit the client’s expression, of course.
So it is essential that your space is conducive to full expression of sounds and emotions in order for the client to feel relaxed and to achieve the emotional catharsis so necessary to real healing. Remember resistance to anything is fear; whether it is your fear or the clients, it still causes them to resist!
Regarding advertisement, I do feel that a separate web site for your promotion of the hypnotherapy is a very good idea. Why? Because I know this will draw people to you who are looking for what you have and then you dont have to waste valuable therapy time educating them on the benefits of hypnotherapy and trying to convince them to do it.
There are more and more people worldwide who know the benefits of hypnotherapy and are out there searching for someone just like you, in Denmark or anywhere else. So setting this up on a web site will be beneficial to you as well as to the clients who are really needing help.
Good luck!
Dear Maureen,
Thank you so much for finding us in the blogosphere. I have treated one major case of epilepsy with hypnotherapy with great results. She no longer has seizures and can drive without danger. However, her epilepsy was caused from an accident during her twenties and was not from childhood.
In terms of using hypnosis with an individual diagnosed with epilepsy, one useful suggestion is to use an “active-alert” induction rather than the customary “passive-relaxation” hypnotic induction. A relaxation-based induction may exacerbate certain disturbing somatic experiences. Find a previously learned skilled activity for the client to focus on during the induction which will permit the experience of a highly focused but relaxed state conducive to therapeutic interaction. An example in the literature is the playing of the computer game Tetris (American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, 44:2, October 2001). This approach to induction bears similarity to Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s principle of flow, in that it involves a dissociated engagement in a subjectively meaningful, skill-based activity. The article is available on the Resources page for members of the Heart-Centered Therapies Association: search for “The Use of a Skill-Based Activity in Therapeutic Induction” by W. E. Winter. Or just click here.
There may well be physical causes of emotional symptoms. Recent studies reported depression in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (Tebartz van Elst et al., Biological Psychiatry, 46:1614-23, 1999). Epilepsy is mentioned as one source of stress that leads to dissociation (Harvard Mental Health Letter, January 2005). Bessel A. Van Der Kolk found apparent similarities between some aspects of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, PTSD, and some long term sequelae of childhood trauma (Anxiety Research, U.K., 1992, volume 4, pp. 199-212).
Let me know how your work with this client progresses.
Thank you for your interest, your comments and questions, and let’s keep the conversation going.

.Climate change could be the biggest global health threat of the 21st century. Effects on health of climate change will be felt by most populations in the next decades and put the lives and wellbeing of billions of people at increased risk. During this century, the earths average surface temperature rises are likely to exceed the safe threshold of 2C above pre-industrial average temperature.
This report outlines the major threatsboth direct and indirectto global health from climate change through changing patterns of disease, water and food insecurity, vulnerable shelter and human settlements, extreme climatic events, and population migration. Although vector-borne diseases will expand their reach and death tolls, the indirect effects of climate change on water, food security, and extreme climatic events are likely to have the biggest effect on global health.
A new advocacy and public health movement is needed urgently to bring together governments, international agencies, non-governmental organisations, communities, and academics from all disciplines to adapt to the effects of climate change on health.
